Game Source Entertainment and developer 7Quark have announced a delay for their upcoming Japanese-style action roguelite Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade. Originally set to launch on April 24, 2025, the game will now release on May 15, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
According to the publisher, the decision stems from unexpectedly high demand for the game’s limited physical release. Pre-orders for the Collector’s Edition have exceeded expectations, prompting the team to shift focus toward ramping up production and ensuring a smooth, simultaneous launch across all platforms.
A Strong Showing Ahead of Launch
Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade has quickly become one of the year’s standout indie titles. During its appearance at Steam Next Fest, the game drew a flood of positive attention, culminating in over 100,000 wishlists. That momentum carried into the announcement of a physical Collector’s Edition for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, which includes a deluxe box, art cards, soundtrack, artbook, and poster.
The upcoming action roguelite takes players to a mythologized Edo-era Japan, where they’ll embody three distinct heroes—Shigure, Sara, and Taketora—each offering their own approach to combat. Players can upgrade Demon Blades, confront nightmarish yokai, and even cook up mystical meals to enhance their stats mid-run.
