Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition Gameplay Trailer Revealed Ahead of October Launch

Ubisoft has released a new gameplay trailer for Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, offering a closer look at the updated version of the 2011 2D platformer. The remaster will be available exclusively as part of every edition of Rayman Legends Retold, which launches for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam on October 1, 2026.

Ubisoft confirmed that Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition will automatically be added to your library when you purchase Rayman Legends Retold, making it part of the package rather than a standalone release.

Originally released in November 2011, Rayman Origins marked the return of the series to hand-drawn 2D platforming. The new Enhanced Edition updates the original release with higher-resolution visuals and a collection of new content while retaining the full campaign, including more than 60 handcrafted stages that support solo play or up to four-player local co-op.

The biggest visual update comes in the form of new 4K textures. Ubisoft has also added several features previously exclusive to the PlayStation Vita version. Relics are now hidden throughout every level, and collecting them unlocks animated origin videos for Rayman and Globox in the returning Mosaic Gallery.

The remaster also expands the game’s collectible content with 18 new character skins, increasing the total to 34. Players can also unlock 50 additional standees, with one tied to each completed level, featuring lore, character details, and moments from across Rayman’s adventures. The achievement list has been refreshed with 39 achievements, including 10 Ubisoft Connect achievements.

Several quality-of-life improvements have also been introduced. Players can now skip cutscenes, speed up level-end screens, toggle running instead of holding the button, fully remap controls, and use updated vibration and haptic feedback on supported platforms.

Accessibility has also been expanded with several optional assists. Murphy can now accompany players through previously completed stages to point out hidden collectibles with audio cues. New Gold and Diamond Hearts offer additional protection from damage, while the Fairy Blessing option grants near-invincibility, free flight, and the ability to defeat enemies by passing through them.

The Snoring Tree hub has also been expanded with a new concept art gallery containing more than 70 pieces of development artwork unlocked through Lum Medals, alongside a dedicated Standee Viewer that lets players browse every unlocked standee.

What do you think about Rayman Origins making its return with an enhanced edition? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to Noisy Pixel for more gaming news and updates.
