Maid of Salvation, the upcoming action RPG from indie developer Orange Popcorn, is officially launching for PC via Steam on October 22, 2025. Players can get an early look at the game when its demo goes live during Steam Next Fest starting October 13.
This is Orange Popcorn’s first stab at a quarter-view action RPG, blending fast-paced combat with exploration in a dark fantasy setting. Inspired by the spirit of 16-bit era games but reimagined for modern players, Maid of Salvation puts an emphasis on precise, stylish fighting that fuses swordplay, firearms, and skill-based techniques.
The story follows Shizuka, a maid serving purgatory, who’s sent on a mission to purify lost souls. But as she ventures deeper into the fiend-ridden realm, she begins to question the truth behind her mission—and the twisted reality of the world around her.
Combat leans into speed and fluidity, with a system built around dodging, parrying, chaining attacks, and strategically switching between weapons. Players can expect over 20 boss fights, hidden encounters, and quests involving rival maids with their own narratives. A skill board lets you customize Shizuka’s abilities to match your preferred playstyle.
A new trailer will be available during Steam Next Fest alongside the demo.
