Falcom has updated its recruitment website with interviews featuring two sound creators who joined the company in 2026. One of the new employees confirmed that they are currently composing background music for a new title. Additionally, according to the company’s recruitment information, Falcom currently employs 74 people as of June 2026.
Both newly featured sound creators joined Falcom in 2026. The first said they initially worked on game debugging and learned Falcom’s sound scripting system as part of their training. Their responsibilities have since changed to encompass BGM production as development on their assigned project progresses.
The second employee was more specific about their current assignment, stating they’re currently composing BGM for a new title. They added that once development progresses further, they expect to begin implementing sound effects and character voices in the game.
Falcom does not identify the project in the interview, so the comment does not establish which series or title the composer is working on.
The interview also sheds some light on the composer’s background. They studied composition at a music university after playing trombone in school concert bands. Their submitted work for Falcom included an orchestral-style battle track, and they identified orchestral composition as a strength.
Falcom’s sound creators do much more than compose music. The role covers BGM composition, sound effect creation, audio direction for cutscenes and events, placement of environmental sounds, and character voice management. The new employee similarly described working with sound-effect scripts alongside composition.
The recruitment update does not identify the projects assigned to either composer. Still, the explicit reference to composing BGM for a “new title” confirms that at least one of Falcom’s 2026 sound hires is already contributing music to a game currently in development.
