NEXON and Neople have announced that their action game The First Berserker: Khazan will receive a demo on January 16, 2025, at 10 AM ET/ 7 AM PT. The demo will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

Unlike the beta test, no end date is scheduled for this demo, so prospective players can decide when to try out the game.

    Demo Details

    • Availability: January 16, 2025, starting at 10 AM ET.
    • Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
    • No End Date: Players can try out the demo at their leisure.

This new venture from the Dungeon&Fighter IP promises a hardcore action experience. Players will control Khazan, a hero turned outcast, as he battles alongside Ozma. Together, they once saved the Pell Los Empire from Hismar, the Berserk Dragon, but Khazan now faces exile and torture, falsely accused of treason.

Check out our preview and the opening cinematic.

    Combat Mechanics

The First Berserker: Khazan has players use precise timing techniques like Brink Guard and Brink Dodge to counter foes.

While preemptive strikes are powerful, managing stamina—both Khazan’s and his enemies’—is essential. Stamina depletion leads to exhaustion, leaving combatants vulnerable to significantly increased damage.

Mastering stamina and exploiting enemy weak points during their exhausted states will be key to achieving victory.

    Weapon Variety and Customization

Khazan wields various weapons, each offering distinct playstyles.

    • Spears: Lower attack power but long-range, ideal for stamina-focused strategies.
    • Greatswords: Slow yet powerful, with charged actions and strong guarding capabilities, perfect for counterattacks.

The First Berserker: Khazan will launch on March 27, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
