PQube released a new trailer for the Dual Effect-developed survival horror Tormented Souls 2, coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in 2025.

The trailer highlights a few of the in-game environments as it sets the mood for what we believe will be a standout indie release in the genre. In case you missed it, check out our review of the Tormented Souls.

Tormented Souls 2 continues the journey of Caroline Walker as she fights against terrifying creatures in her quest to save her sister, Anna, from a mysterious and deadly affliction. Set in the eerie town of Puerto Miller, founded by the enigmatic Ismuit tribe, this sequel embraces classic survival horror mechanics. With a blend of pulse-pounding combat and intricate puzzles, players must creatively use makeshift weapons and carefully manage resources to survive the monstrous threats lurking around every corner.

The game’s atmospheric locations, such as haunting monasteries, are filled with nightmarish enemies and twisted puzzles. As Caroline navigates this cursed world, her only hope lies in combining items found in her environment to solve mysteries and uncover the town’s horrifying secrets. The narrative builds on the events of Tormented Souls, diving deeper into supernatural elements, making the player’s journey both physically and mentally harrowing. This survival horror title is sure to appeal to fans of the original and those seeking a return to the genre’s roots.

We’ll keep you updated on the release of Tormented Souls 2.
