Paramount Pictures has announced via Variety that the upcoming movie Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will be released in theaters on March 19, 2027.
Exact details on the film have yet to surface, but based on the third movie’s ending, there’s plenty that fans can reliably expect.

For those unaware, one of the post-credits scenes of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 featured both Metal Sonic and Amy Rose, leading fans to speculate whether time travel will be involved in the movie universe’s next outing. Amy and Metal Sonic debuted together in Sonic CD, where time travel was the central gimmick across every stage.
Franchise Success
Paramount Pictures also recently announced that the film trilogy has eclipsed one billion dollars at the global box office. So, it’s safe to say that this facet of the Sonic brand is thriving more than ever and will continue to do so.
