Zoids Wild: Blast Unleashed Coming West to Switch This October
Outright Games announced they will publish the mecha 3D combat game Zoids Wild: Blast Unleashed exclusively on Nintendo Switch on October 16 in the west.
Zoids Wild: Blast Unleashed allows players to control some animal-inspired mecha known as Zoids. Don’t know what Zoids are? Well, it’s probably because you were born sometime after 2005, but there’s currently a new anime series airing. The mecha line began in the early 80s as an anime that inspired a toy line.
This new game follows a single-player story that highlights the war between Arashi’s Team Freedom and the power-hungry Team Dark Metal, which is based on the Zoids Wild series. Zoids Wild is preparing to air its new season in June.
“We are thrilled to be part of the charge, bringing this newest iteration of the legendary Zoids franchise to the West,” said Terry Malham, CEO of Outright Games. “This is an intergenerational brand that resonates with kids and adults alike, and we can’t wait for everyone to dive into the action and play together later this year.”
Gameplay features include 1v1 battles with an extensive roster of available characters along with two-player modes. The game has also be made accessible with simplified control schemes and modes.
