Card-Battle Roguelike ‘Zoeti’ to Be Published by Akupara; Skipping Early Access for 2023 Release Window

Akupara Games announced that they will publish the Dusklight Games-developed card-based roguelike, Zoeti, on PC-via Steam in 2023.

Zoeti is being developed by a small Taiwan-based studio with initial plans to launch on Steam Early Access. However, the studio will skip this for a full release in 2023.

Zoeti has players build a deck of cards of various effects based on the face value of the cards. Players can build out a combination of attacks based on the hand that they drew (pair, full house, royal flush, etc.) These combinations will either execute an attack or defense skill, but players can also upgrade and improve their skills across battles and exploration.

Further, players can find relics of power from character events or receive aid from the locals to join together and execute powerful attacks. However, there’s a choice-based system in the game, and some actions will have deadly consequences. This is a roguelike game, though, so expect to die and come back more powerful than ever.
