ZA/UM has announced ZERO PARADES: Director’s Cut for PlayStation 5, launching on November 3, 2026. Existing PC players will receive the Director’s Cut content as a free update on the same day.
ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies originally launched for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on May 21. The Director’s Cut adds full voice acting, a new dramatic encounter, a Backstage Mode, additional outfits, improved inventory management, and support for 21:9 and 32:9 ultrawide displays.
It follows Hershel Wilk, an operative known as CASCADE, who is recalled for another assignment five years after a mission that caused her team’s collapse. Players investigate the city, work with different contacts, and use skill checks to influence conversations and available paths.
Dramatic Encounters use a Tactical View that pauses time during confrontations, allowing players to assess possible actions before making a move. Dice rolls affect the results, though failed checks can open different outcomes rather than immediately ending an encounter.
Another system, Conditioning, lets players reinforce Hershel’s thoughts to affect her identity and open additional options. ZA/UM describes it as a successor to the Thought Cabinet system from Disco Elysium.
The Pressures system tracks Fatigue, Anxiety, and Delirium. Players can Exert these resources to gain an advantage on rolls at the cost of increasing the risks associated with Hershel’s physical and psychological condition.
