Zero Escape Creator Says Primary Antagonist Would Create Gotham City in Minecraft

NOTE: Zero Escape story spoilers are stated throughout this brief piece.

Kotaro Uchikoshi is an unpredictable man, to put it mildly. From the wild twists throughout the Zero Escape series to the superb tonal balance in AI: The Somnium Files, he’s a genuinely excellent writer. However, another thing he’s excellent at is memeing.

Occasionally, Uchikoshi tweets bizarre statements either in response to fans or seemingly out of nowhere. The former recently happened when a fan asked him about what Delta’s hobbies would be, referring to the overarching antagonist of Zero Escape as a whole and Zero Time Dilemma’s direct antagonist.

In response, Uchikoshi legitimately stated the following:

Creating Gotham City in Minecraft.

I know it’s probably an offhanded comment that he barely thought about, but I still couldn’t believe it was an actual tweet. What makes this even more humorous is if one knows Delta’s character. He possesses Xehanort levels of foresight and interferes with the cast in absurd, creative ways, steering into meta territory. In all honesty, I could legitimately see him building Gotham City in Minecraft strictly because of the comical levels of detail it’d comprise. It oddly seems like a very Delta thing to do.

Anyway, Kotaro Uchikoshi is a funny guy. You should follow him.

Spike Chunsoft has been potentially teasing the Zero Escape games arriving on Nintendo Switch.
