Spike Chunsoft released a new trailer for their dungeon crawling survival RPG Zanki Zero: Last Beginning, coming to PlayStation 4 and PC-via Steam in Spring 2019 in North America and Europe.
The trailer details the 8 characters that players will be able to get to know throughout the game’s story. Each character is a clone who represents one of the 7 deadly sins, include a new original sin, which will explained more during the game.
Players will be able to live through these characters lives as they rapidly age and are reborn with new skills. Since the characters are trapped on a mysterious island they must find ways to survive by participating in a game hosted by two adorable hosts, Sho Terashima and Mirai.
Throughout the game, players will need to use the age of character to progress into specific areas. However, this means they may have to plan out each approach when heading out into the dungeons. As for their base camp, over time, facilities will become upgraded and the player will get to know each character on a personal level.
Additionally, Spike Chunsoft has updated Zanki Zero: Last Beginning’s official English website with character details for players to learn more before the game’s official release.

Author’s take: I think this game looks awesome and shows a lot of promise to stand on par with the Danganronpa series. However, the Spring 2019 western release date comes almost a year after the Japanese release date.
Spike Chunsoft’s North American office has a lot of ground to cover to make those release window’s smaller, but they are doing it right by getting out in front of the titles and letting fans know that they are coming.
