Shoot ’em Up Adventure ‘Yurukill: The Calumniation Games’ Delayed to Prepare PS5 and Switch Support
IzanagiGames announced that their bullet-hell escape-adventure, Yurukill: The Calumniation Games, will be delayed from 2020 to 2021 as the developers prepare a PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch release on top of the already planned PC-via Steam version.
Yurukill: The Calumniation Games is an “escape adventure and bullet hell shoot ’em up” game with a scenario written by Homura Kawamoto, known for “Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler” with the development of the shoot ‘em up sections handled by G.rev Ltd.
More news about the game is being kept under wraps until closer to release, but the studio plans to launch the game with English support. Character designs are being handled by Hiro Kiyohara (character design for “Valkyria Revolution”), and the music composition is being led by Yuko Komiyama (music composition for the “Monster Hunter series”).
With the added release on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, the publisher might avoid hitting issues that they did the recent release of World’s End Club, where it came to Apple Arcade first unfinished as they await the finished Switch port coming next year. I believe waiting for the game on all platforms will be worth it in the long run.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the development and release of Yurukill: The Calumniation Games.
