Fantasy Otome Game ‘Yukar from the Abyss’ Heading to Switch December 2023

LocaGames has announced that their fantasy otome game Yukar From The Abyss will officially release worldwide on Nintendo Switch this December. Furthermore, in a Kickstarter update, the developer has also mentioned that they’re currently solving the issues that have been preventing the release on Android, and even announced that a Linux native port is in the works afterwards.

You can view the announcement tweet, alongside the Nintendo Switch trailer for the game below. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on further developments for Yukar from the Abyss.

With illustrations by Mae Mabato, Yukar from the Abyss tells the story of a young woman called Kurumi Oki. After leaving the busy Tokyo for a calm lifestyle in Hokkaido, she misses her train stop and gets into mystic contact with supernatural beings.

Chased by creatures who want to take her to the underworld, she ends up unwittingly opening the door to the divine realm, where she’ll have to face difficult trials to perhaps have the chance of falling in love with the gods. Her options include Pewrep (leader of the mountain gods), Li Huaisu (god of the wetlands), Moshirechik (the brutish demon god), and Kyril Sasayama (who seems to be just a powerful businessman).

Yukar from the Abyss is currently available on iOS and PC via Steam.
