Konami has announced Yu-Gi-Oh! TAG FORCE GX, a remake of the RPG card game Yu-Gi-Oh! GX TAG FORCE 3. It will launch for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on February 16, 2027, with pre-orders available now.
Yu-Gi-Oh! TAG FORCE GX returns to the final year at Duel Academy and allows players to select a Tag Duel partner from more than 100 visually updated characters. The remake features modernized graphics and changes to Dueling, along with cards associated with the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX era.
The available card pool includes over 3,800 cards, including additional cards that were not featured in the original GX TAG FORCE 3. Players can construct their own Decks and use them across the game’s Tag and one-on-one Duels.
Life at Duel Academy also returns as part of the RPG structure. Players can explore the academy, investigate, and participate in new and returning mini-games outside of Duels.
Online multiplayer is being added through Casual Duel and Room Match options. These modes support Tag Duels and traditional one-on-one matches against other players.
A Gallery Mode will include story scenes from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX TAG FORCE and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX TAG FORCE 2, bringing material from the earlier games into the remake.
The Steam version includes a digital e-book. Physical Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch copies instead come with three Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game cards. These are a Starlight Rare Yubel featuring alternate artwork, an Ultra Rare Wicked Canon, and an Ultra Rare Hope for the Future.
Wicked Canon and Hope for the Future are receiving physical cards roughly 20 years after their appearances in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime.
Digital pre-orders through the Nintendo eShop include a code for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel in supported regions. The code includes digital versions of Yubel, Wicked Canon, and Hope for the Future, along with a Winged Kuriboh Duel Mate. Steam pre-orders instead include wallpapers and icons.
