Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale Gets December Release Date for Switch

Konami has announced the release date of Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale. It’ll be released in the west for Switch on December 7, 2021. Based on the Sevens season of the anime, the card game will feature a different set of rules different from the traditional Master Rules.

Just like the Speed Duels used for Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, the concept of Rush Duels focuses on making the game faster. As such, you can play many monsters in the same turn and your hand starts with 4 cards. Having less than five in your hand means buying enough to fill a 5-card hand again. There are many other specific rules making it very different from the usual Master Duel format.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale will include new monsters, such as the Sevens Road Magician from the anime. Besides making your own deck from a wide range of cards, players will get to interact with many of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens characters and enjoy a single-player campaign story. There are also both local and online versions of duels so you can play it with friends or challenge strong opponents around the world.
