Ys X Nordics Reveals DLC Lineup & Launch Schedule; Outfits & Other Cosmetics

Developer Nihon Falcom has updated the official website for their upcoming action JRPG Ys X Nordics with details regarding the DLC schedule players can anticipate.

On September 28, 2023, players will be able to purchase the Shield Set for ¥220, comprised of three cosmetic designs that can be attached to the backs of Adol and Carja. A free item set will also be available, granting players an additional bottle.

On October 5, 2023, Carja’s Azure Mermaid outfit will be purchasable for ¥330, as well as a set of Pikkard designs for the ship for the same price. A second free item set will be available for free on this date, too.

On October 12, 2023, cosmetic Roo DLC attachments will be available for ¥275, alongside acrylic stand-like attachments for the tops of Adol’s and Carja’s heads for ¥220. Further, cosmetic designs for the ship based on the appearance of the Grieger’s boat will be available for ¥330.

Lastly, on October 19, 2023, there will be the Endless Voyage outfit for Adol for ¥330 and a muffler set comprising three cosmetics for Adol and Carja for ¥220.

Ys X Nordics will occur between Ys II and Memories of Celceta, making it the new third canonical entry in Adol Christin’s adventure logs. The gameplay has undergone a significant shakeup, with there only being two playable characters this time around.

Special maneuvers can be unlocked via story scenes and exploration, allowing for environmental interaction. Further, in solo mode, the character you’re not controlling performs actions judged by their own discretion. Adol will be controlling a ship for combat and island hopping, too.

Unused Ys Seven concepts are being utilized in this outing, too. Ys X Nordics will allow players considerable explorative freedom, enabling naval travel with a recruitable crew and ship combat.

Ys X Nordics will launch in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on September 28, 2023.

Ys X Nordics will also launch in Traditional Chinese and Korean for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on September 28, 2023, the same day as the Japanese version.
