Ys X Nordics Pre-Load Now Available on PlayStation & Switch

Ahead of its September 28, 2023 release, Nihon Falcom has just made available the pre-load for the Japanese release of Ys X Nordics. Fans who have pre-ordered the game may now download all of its data ahead of time so that they can immediately get started when the game releases. On Nintendo Switch, roughly 6.7 GB of free space is required, whereas on PlayStation, 5.1 GB is required for the PS5 version, and 5.8 GB are required for the PS4 version.

It’s also worth noting that pre-orders also include the Pikkard Costume as a pre-order bonus. Now, whether you’ll want to wear that or not while adventuring is another story entirely.

Ys X Nordics will occur between Ys II and Memories of Celceta, making it the new third canonical entry in Adol Christin’s adventure logs. The gameplay has undergone a significant shakeup, with there only being two playable characters this time around.

Special maneuvers can be unlocked via story scenes and exploration, allowing for environmental interaction. Further, in solo mode, the character you’re not controlling performs actions judged by their own discretion. Adol will be controlling a ship for combat and island hopping, too.

Unused Ys Seven concepts are being utilized in this outing, too. Ys X Nordics will allow players considerable explorative freedom, enabling naval travel with a recruitable crew and ship combat.
