Ryokutya2089 has shared new Ys X Nordics information from the latest Famitsu issue releasing today. The news this time isn’t overly significant, but Time Attack and Boss Rush have been confirmed to be in the game. Previous entries have had this, so this isn’t all that surprising.

Additionally, several pieces of DLC content have also been announced, potentially comprising cosmetics.

You can view the translated list from Ryokuyta below via our team’s Ryuji. We’ll update our coverage once Falcom announces further information.

    Time Attack & Boss Rush

    • Enjoy battles with each boss at your leisure

    DLC Planned:

    9/28 (release date)

    • Mana Seed x 3 for 220 yen
    • Free DLC set

    10/5

    • Carja Swimsuit DLC (330 yen)
    • Ship Decoration DLC (330 yen)
    • Free DLC Set 2

    10/12

    • Saint Beast Narikiri Set (275 yen)
    • Chokosta Set (220 yen)
    • Enemy Ship (330 yen)

    10/19

    • Costume in which Adol becomes a certain character (330 yen)
    • Scarf Set (220 yen)

Ys X Nordics will occur between Ys II and Memories of Celceta, making it the new third canonical entry in Adol Christin’s adventure logs. The gameplay has undergone a significant shakeup, with there only being two playable characters this time around.

Special maneuvers can be unlocked via story scenes and exploration, allowing for environmental interaction. Further, in solo mode, the character you’re not controlling performs actions judged by their own discretion. Adol will be controlling a ship for combat and island hopping, too.

Unused Ys Seven concepts are being utilized in this outing, too. Ys X Nordics will allow players considerable explorative freedom, enabling naval travel with a recruitable crew and ship combat.

Be sure to check out our extensive coverage of this game for story, gameplay, and character details.

Ys X Nordics will launch in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on September 28, 2023.

Ys X Nordics will also launch in Traditional Chinese and Korean for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on September 28, 2023, the same day as the Japanese version.
