Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Receiving Native Western PS5 Version; Fall 2022

During the currently ongoing New Game Plus Expo live stream, publisher NIS America and developer Nihon Falcom announced that they will be releasing a native PlayStation 5 version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana in Fall 2022. No details have been provided regarding what this version will boast aside from likely enhanced performance and framerate.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana kickstarted the series’ popularity in the West during its initial Vita and PS4 release. It contains a memorable narrative, incredible combat, a stellar soundtrack, multiple difficulty levels, a plethora of side content, and much more. It’s a definite must-play, and if you have a PS5, you should be on the lookout for it when it launches later this year.
