Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana on Steam Freely Adding Adol’s Classic Silver Armor & More
Publisher NIS America has announced that the Steam version of the Nihon Falcom-developed action JRPG Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will freely add the Adol’s Adventure Essentials DLC pack to the base game.

This package includes the following:
- Adol’s Silver Armor (Cosmetic)
- Adol’s Adventurer Clothes (Cosmetic)
- Adol’s Survival Kit
The former two items’ inclusions could be because the recently launched native PlayStation 5 version of the game freely includes all of the cosmetic DLC ever released for the title. But that’s just speculation and could be untrue, as there’s other cosmetic DLC not yet available on PC.
It is unknown when this content will exactly be added, but keep an eye on the game’s Steam page if you’re curious. There is also no word on whether the GOG port will receive this free content.
The title is also currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, and PS5. The PS5 version includes all cosmetic DLC from every previous version of the game. In addition, enhanced performance and graphical updates are also featured.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana kickstarted the series’ popularity in the West during its initial Vita and PS4 release. It contains a memorable narrative, addictive combat, a stellar soundtrack, multiple difficulty levels, a plethora of side content, and much more.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox will launch for PlayStation 5 on May 9, 2023, in North America and on May 12, 2023, in Europe. The title is currently available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This incoming version will include all DLC with enhanced performance.
