Ys IX: Monstrum Nox Super Ultimate Soundtrack Releasing This Week; 11 Stupendous Arrangements You Have to Give a Listen
The latest entry in the Ys series, the action JRPG franchise developed by Nihon Falcom, will be receiving its Super Ultimate soundtrack version later this week, on September 24, 2021.
For those who aren’t aware, some Falcom titles receive an album where a select number of songs get arrangements. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana received one such album, and though going by a differently titled album, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel also received this treatment.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox’s Super Ultimate soundtrack will feature 11 arrangements led by Yukihiro Jindo, totaling 47:34, and the tracks are as follows:
- “Invitation to the Crimson Night”
- “Welcome to Chaos”
- “Norse Wind”
- “Catch Me If You Can”
- “Waltz of the Blue Flowers”
- “Balduq the Griever”
- “Crossing A/A”
- “Desert After Tears”
- “Monstrum Spectrum”
- “Glessing Way!!”
- “Aprilis”
You can view more information on this soundtrack release via Falcom’s official digital storefront and the Video Game Soundtrack Database.
Additionally, you can listen to previews of the upcoming arrangements arriving with this upcoming album via the unofficial fan Falcom Music Youtube channel below. Each preview has fortified my indescribable excitement, and I honestly can’t wait to listen to their full versions.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is currently available on PlayStation 4 (with PlayStation 5 backward compatibility enhancements), Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG.
