Ys IX: Monstrum Nox Gets North American Patch Adding 4K PS5 Support and Fixes for Various Issues

Publisher NIS America has updated Ys IX: Monstrum Nox to Version 1.02 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 with various fixes that all enhance the overall gameplay experience.

You can view the specific patch notes below:

  • Added support for 4K resolution for PS5.
  • Fixed an issue where the text speed setting wasn’t working as intended.
  • Fixed minor text issues.
  • Fixed minor graphical issues.
  • Fixed other minor issues.

While some of these notes are rather vague, this patch’s generally aimed fixes were certainly necessary as several issues have plagued the title since launch. There was a patch near the title’s release that addressed the most pressing concerns, but a few complications retained.

Additionally, this 4K resolution support for the PlayStation 5 has been live in Japan for some time now, so seeing it expanded to a wider audience is quite invigorating for those desiring a replay on the console.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is currently available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility. The game will be releasing for Nintendo Switch and PC-via Steam on July 6 in North America and July 9 in Europe.
