Action Adventure ‘Ys IX: Monstrum Nox’ Gets New Character Trailer With English Voice Over
NIS America released a new trailer for the Falcom developed action RPG Ys IX: Monstrum Nox coming to PlayStation 4 on February 2 in North America, February 5 in Europe, and February 12 in Oceania, the Nintendo Switch and PC version will release later in Summer 2021.
The trailer highlights a few key scenes from the adventure such as how Adol has been altered. The trailer continues to show characters in action to give viewers a chance to see how the group can run across the environments as well as shows off the English voice over.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is set in the city of Balduq, which has been annexed by the Romun Empire. Adol Christin and his companion Dogi have just arrived, but thanks to Adol’s luck, he was detained before even stepping inside. While imprisoned, he meets a woman named Aprilis who ends up turning him into a Monstrum, which is a being with supernatural gifts and power to exorcise monsters.
Adol must now ally with other Monstrums to fend off the deadly threats that are emerging from a dimension called Grimwald Nox. If that wasn’t enough, he must also learn more about this Monstrum curse and unravel the mysteries hidden within Balduq.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is an action RPG where players can freely explore towns and dungeons as they take down enemies and improve their gear. The series is known for its fast and responsive action gameplay. Also, it should be mentioned that you don’t have to play any of the previous titles to jump into the series.
