Youni Coming West to All Platforms, But the Music of the Trailer Forgot it Was a Horror Game
Chorus Worldwide announced that they will publish the horror-adventure Yuoni in the west on August 19, 2021, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam. This is the same release date as the Japanese version of the game.
However, something went wrong with this reveal trailer because the music sounds a little too stock for this game. It sounds like a happy adventure is taking place when on-screen monsters and ghosts slash at the player. Just mute it if you want to preview the game.
Further, a demo will be available during Steam Next Fest taking place from June 16 through June 22. Players will assume the role of a grade-schooler in ‘90s Japan, who has been whisked away to a world of permanent dusk and forced to play a deadly game of hide-and-seek. This first-person horror game from Tricore Inc. is not for the faint of heart, as Ai will encounter otherworldly horrors that leave her with only two choices: hide or die.
We’ll keep you updated on the release of Yuoni in the west.
For now, please watch the scariest trailer ever with the least scary music:
