RPG Co-Op Beat ’em Up ‘Young Souls’ Gets Release Date in New Gameplay Overview Trailer

The Arcade Crew announced that the 1P2P-developed RPG co-op beat ’em up, Young Souls will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on March 10, 2022.

Young Souls initially launched on Stadia, but you may have not known that unless you actively search through the Stadia library. So, I feel like this is being treated as a fresh launch.

In a recent PlayStation blog entry, the developer shares some information about the equipment in the game, “In Young Souls, another important feature for us was to make the equipment as visually distinct and visible as possible in-game. Thus, visual customization was a major part of the development process. We wanted our heroes to keep their adolescent appearances even while wearing their combat outfits. Following this idea, we created two coexisting customization systems: one that permits clothes customization that is purely cosmetic and allows you to express your own style for the heroes; and another that allows for combat gear to be worn over your character’s clothes during battle. These two systems allow for giving your characters a unique look – for example, combining medieval armor with a denim jacket and high-end sneakers! We’re quite proud of how this system works and we hope you’ll enjoy customizing your character’s look as much as we did while building this feature.”

Young Souls follows Jenn and Tristan’s day and night cycle as they freely roam around town in preparation for a full night fighting monsters and looting dungeons. These two heroes don’t really brag about their accomplishments as they aren’t well-liked by the townspeople, but the story centers around them trying to save someone they love, and that happens to include the town as well.

We’ll keep you updated on the development of Young Souls. In case you missed it, check out our preview.
