Yotsunoha Gets Surprise Release in the West on PC After Being Banned on Steam

Sol Press has gone ahead and released the Hiqo Soft developed romance visual novel Yotsunoha on PC-via the Sol Press Online Store for $24.99.

After being banned on Steam, Sol Press has gone ahead and released the visual novel on their new online store. Yotsunoha is an all-ages visual novel set during the end of summer break after a group of friend’s school is shut down. On their last day together, before heading to new schools, the characters decided to put their memories into a time capsule and promise to meet again in three years. After reuniting the quest to relive and remember their school memories emerges upon their reunion.

Yotsunoha has some interactive areas of gameplay aside from its visual novel offerings. Players are able to unlock various routes and branching paths throughout the story based on their choices. The game was originally released in Japan in 2005 and has since received updates.

There is currently, no word on if the game will return to Steam or why it was banned in the first place, considering it is the all-ages version, but the girl’s ages might have something to play into that. We most likely won’t get an official word on the matter.

An 18+ Patch is also available for the game for free.

Regardless, it’s available now and you can watch the opening movie below:
