Nintendo has announced that a free demo for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is now available on Switch 2. Saved data can be carried over to the full release. Additionally, version 1.0.2 was recently released, addressing various unspecified issues.
The art style has changed again, as is tradition for the series, this time inspired by claymation. The game will feature Yoshi trying to help a strange, flying, talking book named Mister Encyclopedia (Mr. E) fill in its pages to complete a story.
During gameplay, you’ll discover unique creatures in Mr. E’s book, using their features to collect collectibles and advance the story. These creatures can also be named once research is completed. Continuing this cycle will increase the number of chapters available for exploration. Yoshi can eat objects to aim and throw eggs, flutter-jump, and ground-pound.
