Playtonic Games and PM Studios have announced that the physical version of their upcoming 3D platformer Yooka-Replaylee will be released for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S on December 18, 2025, for $49.99 USD.
Additionally, the Switch 2 release will be a physical cartridge. This package will include a poster of the game’s map and a character sticker pack. Pre-orders are live from various retailers.
Yooka-Replaylee features the titular heroes in a renewed journey from their 2017 debut, featuring remixed challenges and various improvements to provide a newly familiar experience.
Players can anticipate enhanced performance and resolution alongside a new collectible currency dropped by the antagonist’s minions. Further, a world map and challenge tracker have been implemented, ensuring players won’t get lost during progression.
The equippable power-ups, Tonics, have returned with new flavors and the option to equip multiple upgrades simultaneously. Moreover, the overall move set has been tweaked, letting players control their actions more fluidly with new camera controls. Lastly, Grant Kirkhope and David Wise have come back for the soundtrack, composing an orchestral score.
The team has also confirmed that owners of the original Yooka Laylee will receive a 30% discount on all platforms (Nintendo Switch → Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 → PlayStation 5, Xbox One → Xbox Series X/S).
Yooka-Replaylee will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam on October 9, 2025.
