The Yomawari series began on the PlayStation Vita with Yomawari: Night Alone. Then, a sequel called Yomawari: Midnight Shadows was released for the same system alongside the PlayStation 4. Both titles are now available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, with the latter console having them bundled under the Yomawari: Long Night Collection. If you missed it, check out our review of that collection back when it was initially released.
These games are horror adventures, with the terror usually emitted via disturbing imagery and lonely premises. Further, several collectibles and optional events around the world aid in making exploration a vital component of the experiences and a satisfying venture for completionists. Hopefully, this upcoming third entry proves to be appealing to fans and prospective newcomers.
Yomawari: Lost in the Dark is releasing for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in Fall 2022.
