Yakuza PSP Spinoff ‘Like A Dragon: Black Panther’ Receives English Fan Patch
Fan group Team K4L has announced that their English translation of the Yakuza PSP spinoff Kurohyou: Ryu Ga Gotoku Shinsho (Like a Dragon: Black Panther) is now available. Fans can now experience the whole story of this entry alongside minigames, substories, and even multiplayer. However, the team does note on the official website that they are “working on getting hostesses finished as soon as [they] can.”
It’s also worth emphasizing that Team K4L is “not distributing any copyrighted content.”
Kurohyou: Ryu Ga Gotoku Shinsho, or Black Leopard: Like a Dragon New Chapter, was originally released for the PlayStation Portable in 2010, exclusively in Japan. It was developed by AKI Corporation and followed the new protagonist Tatsuya Ukyo in the familiar city of Kamurocho from the rest of the series.
Kurohyou and its sequel differentiate themselves from the rest of the franchise by focusing heavily on one-on-one combat and thus have a very different tone from the rest of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon titles.
