Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 Heads to Xbox One in Early 2020
Sega announced that they will expand the audience of their Yakuza series with the release of Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 on Xbox One in Early 2020. The game will also release via the Xbox Game Pass for consoles and PC.
This will be the first time that Xbox players get to experience the Yakuza series on the console. The game will deliver the same experience that it did on other platforms by bringing is action, character narrative, minigames, and environments to the Xbox One.
Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 use a new engine developed to rerelease the titles on modern platforms. While Yakuza 0 tells a brand new story based in the Yakuza universe, the developer decided to use the engine to remaster Yakuza and Yakuza 2, which were previously released on PlayStation 2. This is perhaps the definitive way to experience the titles, but now that the trilogy is coming to a new console, hopefully, we’ll hear that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will also come to the Xbox One and PC. Currently, the game is only confirmed for a PlayStation 4 release.
