Yakuza Empire is a 2.5D Strategy Game That Doesn’t Have a Karaoke Mini-Game

RockGames launched their 2.5D action game Yakuza Empire in a new trailer for its PC-via Steam release, with an unannounced date.

The trailer highlights the game’s brutal systems as players take the lead of the toughest gang in Japan, the Yakuza. Yakuza Empire has strategy and management systems where players will experience the day-to-day of a gangster’s life. They’ll be in control of the operations after the former leader was brutally murdered, and revenge is on everyone’s minds.

During gameplay, players can build various facilities to train and manage their teams before heading out. These facilities will be crucial to accomplishing your goal, but money is also something you’ll have to take into consideration, which could land players into debt with other groups.

Heading out into the street turns the game into a turn-based combat action title. Players will move through cover and take out their rivals. There are also ways to interact with the environment, such as shooting a canister to blow up an enemy.

The game also seems to sneak in some pleasure time, but it’s not really clear what players are able to do. In the preview, we see an arcade, but we aren’t sure if this will offer mini-games. Is a Yakuza game without a karaoke mini-game really a Yakuza game?

We’ll keep you updated on the game’s development.
