Action RPG ‘Xuan-Yuan Sword VII’ Gets PC and PS4 Release Date
Softstar released the third trailer for their action RPG Xuan-Yuan Sword VII, which revealed that the game is coming to PlayStation 4 in Asia and PC-via Steam on October 29.
The game will also release on PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 10, with full translation and voice over. Other regions will be coming at a later date, but those who pick up the Asia release will play the game with English subtitles.
Xuan-Yuan Sword VII is a part of a larger series of the game but tells a standalone story rooted in Chinese history and mythology. During the game, players assume the role of Taishi Zhao after he suffered a tragedy. If he hopes to protect his family, Taishi heads out on a journey to the chaotic realm to find the truth of his fate.
Xuan-Yuan Sword VII is an action RPG with a real-time combat system. In battle, players will combine attacks and abilities with taking down large enemies. Additional actions include active skills, dodge abilities, and flash block.
The game also has a feature is known as Elysium Scroll, a bamboo scroll with the power to absorb monsters, create items, and more. Once a monster is consumed, players can upgrade Taishi’s skill and refine his abilities.
