Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Catches Players up on the Story in New Trailer

Nintendo launched a new trailer for the Monolithsoft-developed adventure RPG Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, coming to Nintendo Switch on May 29.

The trailer highlights the lore and characters that players will encounter during the game. The trailer goes into detail about the threat that the main character’s face as Shulk and his friends embark on a quest of revenge against the Mechon, who have destroyed their homes. The trailer also highlights the battle system and features the new UI and the abilities that players will be able to use against enemies. Each character has a range of skills that should be taken into consideration when forming a party. Viewers also get the chance to check out the game’s side-missions and NPCs.

The ending of the video also gives players a look at the epilogue of the game, which is new to this version.

The world of Xenoblade Chronicles exists on the back of two gods, Bionis and Mechonis, with a rivalry emerging between those who live on each of the giant creatures. Shulk discovers that he might players a larger role in the fate of the world as he receives a vision. This is generally the spark that ignites the adventure as Shulk gathers his friends and sets out on a journey.
