Nintendo and Monolithsoft have announced that the official soundtrack for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will launch physically and digitally on August 2, 2023, while the limited edition will release on July 29, 2023.
Manufactured by Procyon Studio and via the label Sleigh Bells, the limited edition release of the soundtrack costs ¥16,800, while the standard version is ¥7,260 physically and ¥6,750 digitally.
The limited edition is now available to pre-order until April 30, 11:59 Japan Standard Time. This package will include “two 1/3 Scale Mini Replicas of the flutes used when recording the music, one of “Seishin no Fue” (Noah’s flute) and one of “Kishin no Fue” (Mio’s flute).” Additionally, there is a “card featuring Masatsugu Saito’s new illustration with printed signatures of the composers on the back side” and an “80-page booklet” primarily in Japanese.
Further details regarding the booklet are that it will contain lyrics, liner notes, interviews with the main composers, Yasunori Mitsuda, ACE (TOMOri Kudo, CHiCO), Kenji Hiramatsu, and Manami Kiyota, as well as a message from the game’s executive director Tetsuya Takahashi.
And if that weren’t enough, comments from those with a close connection with the composers will be shared, and a discussion will be featured between “Yasunori Mitsuda and the shinobue artisan, Hidekatsu, about the creation of “Seishin no Fue” (Noah’s flute) and “Kishin no Fue” (Mio’s flute).”
Lastly, it’s worth emphasizing that the included songs are the same across the standard and limited editions, comprising nine CDs of over 140 tracks collectively lasting around nine hours. Moreover, music from the added story scenario in the fourth volume of the Expansion Pass DLC will be included. However, the songs themselves have not been listed yet.
In case you missed it, the soundtrack of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition will launch in August 2023.

UPDATE 4/19/2023: New artwork for the soundtrack has been shared by character designer Masatsugu Saito, depicting the main cast. This illustration will be featured on the soundtrack’s box.
Additionally, Saito has shared a new comment regarding the soundtrack’s upcoming release:
“I’ve also been looking forward to the long-awaited Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Original Soundtrack and am thrilled it has been announced! I had the opportunity to draw an illustration for the soundtrack. In it, I drew a scene of the group of friends listening closely to Noah and Mio’s melodies. I recommend listening to the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Original Soundtrack while trying to imagine Noah and Mio perform.”
