Xbox Game Pass Announces August 2023 Titles Leaving & Joining
Microsoft has announced the titles set to join their Game Pass service this month, as well as the ones scheduled to leave in late August. The former are listed below with respective joining dates:
- Everspace 2 (Cloud and Xbox Series X|S)
- Firewatch (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 17
- The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 18
- Sea of Stars (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 29
- Gris (Cloud, Console, and PC) – September 5
The following titles will leave Game Pass on August 31, 2023. Subscribers can utilize their membership to purchase these games for 20% off:
- Black Desert (Cloud and Console)
- Commandos 3 – HD Remaster (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Immortality (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Nuclear Throne (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Surgeon Simulator 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Tinykin (Cloud, Console, and PC)

Sea of Stars will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on August 29, 2023.
Sea of Stars stars Valere and Zale, two characters with the same fate of becoming Solstice Warriors. Each share the power of the Sun and Moon to perform what is known as Eclipse Magic to fight against an evil alchemist, The Fleshmancer.
The game’s demo is available on all platforms.
