Acquire-Developed Twin-Stick Shooter ‘XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2’ Revealed in New Gameplay Trailer

Acquire revealed a new twin-stick shooter coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in 2023 called XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2.

XALADIA: Rise of the Space Pirates X2 is a twin-stick shooter where players will choose a member of the elite special forces team who travels to numerous planets for survey missions and colonization throughout the galaxy. However, on this particular mission, the team encountered an enemy who won’t give up the resources so easily.

During gameplay, players will fight to protect the planet “While supporting planetary colonization, exterminate the enemy and return to Earth (base).” The game is set in the 21XX, so know you’re in for some futuristic weaponry across various waves of enemies. Players must protect their stationary weapons while moving around the screen, shooting at enemies. There are various abilities and weapons to choose from, along with a few characters to play as.

The game is meant to be a retro arcade experience for new players. It doesn’t seem overly complicated and mirrors many classic arcade games such as Missle Command.
