WWE Superstar Zelina Vega Joining Street Fighter 6 as In-Game Commentator

Capcom has announced that Thea Trinidad, also commonly referred to via her WWE name of Zelina Vega, will join the upcoming Street Fighter 6 as an in-game commentator. She has expressed a love for gaming and even modeled her ring gear after the iconic Juri during the recent Royal Rumble in San Antonio, Texas.

Trinidad provided the following comments regarding this announcement:

“I’ve been an avid gamer since I was a child and a huge fan of Street Fighter. I can still remember epic matches with my brother, and I would always beat him with my favorite character Vega. It’s surreal to now be a part of this amazing franchise and I am honored and thankful for this once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Street Fighter 6 will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on June 2, 2023.

This title is built off of the RE Engine, leading to impressive graphical capabilities. Further, an immersive single-player mode is promised, breathing new life into the series that has lacked its incorporation.

Moreover, the Classic Control Type returns alongside a brand new option, the Modern Control Type, which allows players to jump straight into the action with simplified inputs. Interestingly, a Real-Time Commentary Feature has been confirmed, providing a unique live flair to matches.
