World War Z: Aftermath Adds New Story Episodes and First-Person Mode

Saber Interactive announced they will release World War Z: Aftermath as a sort of sequel-expansion to World War Z on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox on, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2021.

World War Z: Aftermath was developed using the Swarm Engine and adds a few new features to the co-op zombie shooters. Along with a new story episode, players will find additional locations, including Rome, Vatican City, and Russia’s Kamchatka peninsula.

During World War Z: Aftermath, players will be able to play as new and returning characters and take advantage of a new melee system. The next-gen version of the game will feature 4K 60 FPS and an exclusive mode for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC called Horde Mode XL delivered as a post-launch update features hundreds of zombies on screen.

Further, World War Z: Aftermath allows players to enter the first-person mode and level up eight character classes, Gunslinger, Hellraiser, Slasher, Medic, Fixer, Exterminator, Dronemaster, and all-new Vanguard.

World War Z: Aftermath will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC first for $39.99, with backward compatibility available on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Players who own World War Z can purchase the Aftermath for $19.99. In early 2022, World War Z: Aftermath will officially launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2022.
