MS Paint Created Horror Title ‘World of Horror’ Receives Significant Early Access Update Before 2022 Launch
Ysbryd Games announced that the panstasz-developed text-based horror title World of Horror has received a significant update on PC-via Steam Early Access. This brings the game to version 0.9.84.
The developer shared some information about the update as it adds two new mysteries, new modding, new characters, new events, challenges, and city planning.
The mysteries feature a story of a weird friend with a dark secret and have players explore a seemingly abandoned mansion full of grotesque paintings. Further, players can now draft custom mysteries, create characters, and chain together events through modding. Players now have access to a Witch and Ex-Cultist who are now a part of the 11 available heroes.
Additional events include character-exclusive events that build on their backstories and roles in the city. In addition, a new game mode has players fight against enemies with challenging mechanics, and players can now customize the game with additional actions.
World of Horror is a text-based horror adventure created using MS paint to create a unique mood. Set in a small Japanese town, players will find that not everything is right here as creatures begin to terrorize the citizens.
The gameplay has players choosing an adventure and attempting to make it through alive. Using point-and-click elements, players will build a deck of event cards to use against whatever comes their way. Players will also need to make choices that affect the narrative; given that the game has rogue-lite elements, each adventure can vary no matter how many times you go through it.
World of Horror is coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2022.
