Witch on the Holy Night Achieves Over 1,000 Steam User Reviews in Half a Month; 98% Positive

The Steam launch of the Type-Moon and Aniplex visual novel remake, Witch on the Holy Night, has been quite successful. During its first day of launch, the title received over 400 Steam user reviews, which were 99% positive.

Now, at the start of the new year, Witch on the Holy Night has cumulatively received well over 1,200 Steam user reviews, with an impressively maintained rate of 98% positivity.

This is a rather impressive feat for a visual novel, even if it is from an acclaimed developer. Witch on the Holy Night was confirmed to have sold over 150,000 units on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch alone, so it’s fair to assume that this remake will enjoy even greater success thanks to its performance on PC.

It’s also fair to expect that the upcoming Western release of Tsukihime -A Piece of Blue Glass Moon- will see an eventual PC port.

In case you missed it, the upcoming Witch on the Holy Night movie by Ufotable has received its second official trailer.

Witch on the Holy Night tells the story of a trio who lives together in an old Western mansion on the outskirts of a Japanese town. Rumors say that a witch lives in the place, and they might actually not be so far-fetched. After all, Aoko Aozaki does study her sorcery in the area under the tutelage of Alice Kuonji.

During the Showa Era (the 1980s), a young man called Soujuurou Shizuki meets the two of them. He comes from a rural area and has slowly been adjusting to the new reality of high school in the city.

In the new edition, Aoko is voiced by Haruka Tomatsu, Kana Hanazawa voices Alice, and Yuusuke Kobayashi voices Soujuurou.

Witch on the Holy Night is also available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Tsukihime -A Piece of Blue Glass Moon- has been confirmed to be released in the West for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in the Summer of 2024.
