We Have A Full Gift Sack of Winter Holiday Themed Gaming Events For You

Christmas is right around the corner, and you know what that means … special events for some of our favorite online games are on the way! Let’s be real here, spending time with games is truly what makes Christmas the most wonderful time of the year, right? We will be actively updating this feature with special events as they come our way, but please feel free to let us know in the comments or tweet us if we missed any and tell us your favorites because we definitely want to know. Christmas is all about gift giving, so let’s give all give each other the gift of winter holiday themed gaming event knowledge.

Without further ado, here’s our list, which is listed in alphabetical order:

100% Orange Juice – Last year’s Orange Juice Christmas event is back, and ends December 12. For the event, players must help Santa get back presents from the Waruda. Players can find Christmas costumes, bonus items, and new reindeer.

Black Squad – Thanks to the latest game update, players of this first-person shooter can obtain holiday themed weapons and play in new maps.

Bless Online – Until December 31, players can participate in the Festive December Login Event, in which players can get a variety of great rewards by logging in. Also, there’s a new holiday costume for players to purchase, and new quests to enjoy.

Brave Frontier: The Last Summoner – Until December 30, players can enjoy “Saviors of Gods”, the first part of Brave Frontier: The Last Summoner’s 2018 Winter Holidays Time-Limited Event. In the event, there’s a new character to unlock, secret dungeons and rewards, holiday weapons, and holiday achievements.

Closers Giveaway

Closers – During the month of December, players can enter into a the Closers Winter Contest for a chance to win prizes.

DC Universe Online – The Season’s Greetings event has begun and will run through January 2. Players will find Gotham City full of snow and Christmas decorations. Players will need to find and recover stolen gifts before it’s too late.

Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia – Players are able to take part in the special Winter Festival, which brings login bonuses to give plenty of extra Gems, Draw Tickets, and Support Items. Players are also able to festival specific support items and Snowflake tokens that can be exchanged for Armor and High Shard from the Waltz Event Quest. The Winter event ends December 30.

EverQuest – Until January 7, players can get holiday-themed items and partake in the various festivities that are filled with wintry activities, such as holiday quests. From December 24 to December 26, players can also meet Santug Claugg, a red-armored ogre, to get gifts.

EverQuest 2Everquest 2‘s Frostfell event has already begun and it will end on January 3. Players can receive daily gifts, craft and create unique items, purchase cosmetics, and house items, and participate in brand new holiday quest.

Fortnite – Do I even have to say anything? If you play Fortnite you probably already know.

Guild Wars 2 –  Traditional Tyrian Wintersday festivities begin on December 11. So far, we know that the Divinity’s Reach will get a Winter makeover, and players will be able to participate in multiple events.

Killing Floor 2 – Christmas time can be pretty deadly, especially in The Killing Floor 2.  The game’s Twisted Christmas: Season’s Beating update is live now and adds new maps, weapons, Christmas-themed enemies, and the playable Badass Santa character who’s voiced by Gary Busey. The Badass Santa is a paid item.

Busey also is the voice of the Trader in the Santa’s Workshop map, which is free for all players throughout the Christmas-themed event. Community map, Shopping Spree, is also included in the Twisted Christmas: Season’s Beatings update.

MapleStory 2 –  Specific details for MapleStory 2’s holiday events haven’t been revealed yet, but the developer mentioned in a MapleStory 2 site blog post that players will be able to participate in various events and earn exclusive seasonal ground mounts, name tag, chat bubbles, decorations, a title, music score, and more. Players will need to visit the Merry Village to participate in the events.

Overcooked 2 – The Kevin’s Christmas Cracker update brings a whole sleigh full of Christmas-themed goodies to Overcooked 2, like new kitchens, recipes, chefs, and more.

Overwatch – Overwatch‘s Winter Wonderland event returns and it will start December 11 and end January 2. Expect to get holiday-themed skins and cosmetics. Explore a Christmas-themed revamp of Blizzard World map, which will have tons of snow, festive lights, and a gleaming Christmas tree.

Planetside2 Christmas 1

PlanetSide 2 – From December 1 till December 31, Planetside 2 will have special deals and items for players. Each day, a different deal will come to the Depot for a limited time. On weekdays (Monday through Friday), you’ll find unique items including camos, weapons, and bundles that’ll only be available for purchase for one day.

Each weekend, players have a chance to get one of the previous year’s Anniversary Bundles. The Anniversary Bundles will remain in the store for two days (Saturday and Sunday).

Splatoon2 Winter

Splatoon 2 – The upcoming Frosty Fest for Splatoon 2 will be a global event which is scheduled to begin on January 4 and end on January 6. The event will add winter-themed stage decorations and some brand-new winter headgear — which are: New Year’s Glasses DX, Twisty Headband, Festive Party Cone, and the Eel-Cake Hat.

Star Ocean AnamnesisPlayers can earn log in bonuses for 28 days which includes a 5-star Ace Character Ticket, Gems, and other things you’d expect. Also, the event adds Holiday Campaign Limited Items, Achievements, and Draws. On to the good stuff, players can get holiday costumes for Winter Fidel, Winter Evelyesse, and Holiday Precis, available for drawing from December 11 through December 24. Through the same period of time players can complete a special holiday event for special weapons and items.

Switchblade – With Switchblade‘s Christmas update, players can enjoy plenty of festive car skins and shiny new character cosmetics to sleigh the competition.

World of Tanks –  Having started on Friday, November 30, World of Tanks’ advent calendar event gives players a special combat mission and discounted special offers for this month. Unlike previous years, most of these offers are available for purchase with in-game gold.
