Production Exabilities announced that their mech action game Wing of Darkness will launch on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on February 25, 2021.
The game has been in development for some time by a small team, but their focus on creating a 3D mech shooter is as close as its ever been to being realized. The game is comprised of two elements: action and a story of two heroines.
The game will also release physically in Japan and Asia on PS4 and Switch with a Limited Edition available. The LE comes with a Box, Pins, Crest, Sticker Sheet, Visual Fan Book, Acrylic Figurine, Soundtrack.
Wing of Darkness puts players in the role of a group of young girls who must fight the Blanker that swarm the skies of Fräulein. The girls are equipped with mechanical wings on their backs, which provides them with defensive and offensive abilities. They fight to protect their loved ones and any who can’t protect themselves.
Wing of Darkness takes players through a narrative-driven story where they’ll follow the cast of the character’s everyday lives and learn more about their personalities. However, it’s not all conversations and hanging out, at times, the girls will need to take on missions. Players are able to customize and equip each of the girls as they head out to build a mech that supports their playstyle.
