Windjammers 2 Reveals PlayStation Launch and Open Beta Coming Tomorrow

Dotemu announced that Windjammers 2 will launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 alongside the PC and Nintendo Switch version.

Further, players can get a taste of the action beginning in tomorrow’s Open Beta. On August 11, 2021, a 3 PM CEST through August 22, players on PS4, PS5, and Steam can join to face off against disc throwing action. PS4 and PS5 players will be able to play together, while PC players will play in their own league.

The open beta features several playable characters who each have their own abilities and skills. Steve Miller, the well-balanced Biaggi, the incredibly swift series newcomer Sophie de Lys, and the now-confirmed, tanklike returning star Gary Scott.

During Windjammers 2, the athletes can face off in online ranked play across various courts, including a sandy beach, roaring stadium, rowdy ring, or a towering rooftop complete with shot-deflecting bumpers. The game is an evolution of the original arcade classic with new power disc power-up s and perfected mechanics. It’s aimed to be a competitive experience but approachable to casual players. In addition, the animations are completely hand-drawn using 2D animations, making the game fun to watch as well.
