Bellhouse’s Free-to-Play Dark Yuri Visual Novel ‘Who Is The Red Queen?’ Now Available on Steam in Enhanced Edition

Publisher Studio Élan has released Who is the Red Queen?, a new visual novel under the Bellhouse imprint, on Steam. The free-to-play title was already available on before but this new release includes improvements to the game’s visuals and music, an updated script and a Spanish translation.

Who Is The Red Queen? tells the story of a young woman called Alice, who falls down the rabbit hole. In Wonderland, she’ll now have to find the missing Red Queen, who was dismembered and had her body parts spread through the land. The story features messed up circumstances, with trigger warnings including “death, gore, dismemberment, animal cruelty, execution, imprisonment, and suicide from high places.”

Originally developed for Spooktober Visual Novel Jam by 4noki, it was planned back in the day as a basic title with only six CGs and simple animation. Depending on player choice, they’ll be able to reach three major endings or many other dead ends.

Who Is The Red Queen?  is written and directed by Shino (Draw No More, from that moment she neglected the world), with sprite illustrations from YuukiPudding (Half Moon) and CGs by Pumpkin-Spike (closing chapter) and papaya (soundless – A MODERN SALEM IN REMOTE AREA -). While some of the music is taken from PeriTune, there are also compositions by Lyraden (Hearts Astride).
