Toge Productions announced that their next release will be the narrative adventure What Comes After, to release on Nintendo Switch on April 1, 2021.
Yea, the release date isn’t probably the best given the date and how many developers tend to pull pranks on their fans. However, this game is indeed real. To prove it is, the developer released a trailer showing what players can expect from this adventure.
What Comes After is a short story that features Vivi, a girl who has found herself in the afterlife by mistake. Still, it may be that she belongs there, but she seems to have woken up in this strange place after falling asleep. During the game, she’ll be able to interact with spirits and learn about their love, regrets, life, and their death. The story is presented in a “positive approach, with a touch of comedy and philosophy.” So, at the very least, we aren’t going to be depressed.
What Comes After is launching exclusively to Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop for $6.99.
The game is developed by the creators of Coffee Talk and Rage in Peace. It’s not a huge experience, but one you can play through in an evening.
