Thunderful Studios announced that their third-person action-adventure Wavetale is available now on Stadia. The developer also confirmed that they have plans to launch on PC and consoles in 2022.
Wavetale is a third-person action-adventure from the creators of Lost in Random and SteamWorld. During gameplay, players are able to explore the open sea and uncover more about the decaying archipelago of Strandville. Players assume the role of Sigrid, a young girl who one day befriends a shadow presence that provides her with the power to walk on water.
This ability opens of a sea, no pun intended, of possibilities as players speed through the waves and swing across rooftops using a new. There is an action battle system in the game where players must fight strange creatures to save the citizens of the islands, but the shadow lends a hand in this area.
We’ll keep you updated on additional release platforms for the game, but the developer released a new trailer showing all the systems in action. In addition, players get to preview the water-walking ability and some of the combat. The world looks very charming and fun to explore, so we’re looking forward to hitting the waves.
