Wave Break PC Release Planned for Q1 2020; Gets a Trailer Showing Off a New, Cool Stage

During the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, a new trailer was shown for the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater-meets-Wave Race 64 game Wave Break, developed by Funktronic Labs.

In addition, during the trailer, a potential Q1 2020 release window was teased for the PC-via Steam release. However, we reached out to the developer and they confirmed that they are hoping to hit that release window. As of now, it seems a console release has yet to be determined.

Wave Break will let you grab and grind to your heart’s content. With your own customizable boat and character, you’ll be able to shred across multiple stages, pull off insane trick combos to rack up points, and literally shoot down anyone that gets in your way. The game will have multiple modes for you to enjoy, like the good old classic Trick Attack mode,  a Deathmatch mode, and of course, a campaign mode. Rather than shredding across the same stage over and over again, Wave Break will feature multiple stages from tropical beaches to frozen tundras.

A new trailer showing off the frozen tundras has been released for Wave Break, which you can check out below:

We had a chance to check out an early build of the game during GDC 2019 and were definitely impressed.

In case you missed it, here’s our preview of the game:
