Skateboating Game ‘Wave Break’ to Launch as Timed Exclusive on Stadia
Funktronic Labs announced that their Tony Hawk inspired Skateboating game, Wave Break, will launch first on Stadia this summer.
Wave Break takes what gamers loved about classic Tony Hawk titles and brought it to the ocean. The game presents of over-the-top arcade action with various ways to rack up points and execute some lengthy combos.
“It’s been way too long since a good skateboarding game like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater came out, hasn’t it?” remarked Eddie Lee, totally unbiased co-founder of Funktronic Labs, “Look, we all know everyone needs a fun arcade skating game in life, but what we didn’t know is that you can do skateboarding tricks on boats too. And thus, Wave Break.”
During gameplay, players are able to chain together tricks to get a high score, as well as shoot down their opponents for an added layer of aquatic vehicular combat. The game will feature both online and local multiplayer options across Tick Attack, Death Match, and Turf War game modes.
Additionally, there’s a single-player story campaign that has players experience the rivalry between the Mafia’s Big Pin and Detective McHutchenson. And lastly, there is customization, which is arguably the best part of any game such as this.
Wave Break will launch on PC-via Steam and consoles following the Statia exclusivity.
